Every owner of a BMW Boxer motorcycle in combination with an exhaust / exhaust system from the aftermarket knows the problem: The side stand has to be adjusted.

But not only that: BMW has installed different models and functions across all series – a difficult undertaking for manufacturers of exhaust systems to develop an exhaust system that is compatible with all variations. In addition, most side stands are emptied one way or another and it’s only a matter of time before it breaks – the result: the motorcycle crashes to the ground and the damage can go into the thousands.

For this reason, we have now developed our own side stand! THE BDM side stand is 100% compatible with our BDM Shorty exhaust system and of course with many other models from the accessories. The side stand is clamped directly to the original frame and tightened via four M8 screws. During the construction it was important to us that the side stand is stable, still looks good and can be installed by anyone without any problems. And the most beautiful thing: The side stand is behind the exhaust – so no rubber stops are needed anymore (which sooner or later beat bumps in the rear silencer).

The side stand has an integrated M6 thread in the foot area, with which an extension, also CNC milled (included!) can be used as an extension to open and close it with your feet.
